My cat’s favorite toy is a velcro cord tie that came with some thing or another I got years ago. He’s liked it since he was a kitten and it disappears for months at a time only to show up again periodically as he finds it.

Gizmo is trolling Bryan. He will eventually use all of his new toys during the rest of his life. Give him time.

PSA: Don’t let your cats have hair ties! If you can, consider switching to something bulkier like scrunchies or claw clips.

Hair ties are one of the most common things vets have to remove from cats’ stomachs.

I buy biodegradable and digestible hair ties for this exact reason. Mostly bamboo ones.

They suck as hair ties and last a fraction as long. But they won’t fuck with my cat.

My cat did too. They endoscoped 30 hair ties out of her stomach. They’re no longer allowed in our home. And I’m always checking if she finds something to play with. The only cat we’ve had that did it, and who bites, too. And yet she’ll let her food sit around in the bowl until she feels like eating. It’s a prey thing, I think.

I was lucky and found my cat had just swallowed most of one after breaking it. Had to reach into her mouth and pull it out. D:

Keep a count of the ones you have, just in case. And keep them tucked away. My cat was an addict. She’s fine now but would still eat more in a heartbeat. I can’t even blame her, they’re SO FUN! And chompy! But bad for tummies.

My sisters cat goes fucking crazy for these cat toy springs. Anything else she gets bored of quickly but the springs? Never.

She’ll put them in difficult to get to spots before trying to get them back, she’ll fling them across the room, and she’ll hide them wherever she can. Maybe the goblin will just hold it in her mouth while she walks. Once we found a spring in a box of rice. She just kinda dropped it in and we didn’t notice until it came out

Omg there’s a gap under my oven that’s just big enough for the springs. I pulled the oven out from the wall and I found hoards of the plastic springs forgotten there.
