He had specifically said Hollywood didn’t know what to do with him, because after being so wildly successful he didn’t need their money, and he wanted creative control. Most authors give that up when they sell rights.
And Apple TV has been killing it lately, IMO.

If he’s successful, it might open the door for other authors to push meddling producers out of the way with better, more faithful adaptations. The First Law Trilogy, Powder Mage series, or even Lightbringer would be nice to see done right on screen.
