I’m telling you that you should be using any power you have, to build your own power, and eventually you’d be able to overthrow your current one. As long as you can avoid becoming a monster yourself in the process.

Like we’re dealing with real life here, not star wars, in the movies the rebels get help from some mysterious benevolent force, that help is never coming if you’re counting on that. USSR tried to be that, for that it was killed.
Exactly the democrats are not going to save anyone. You can’t vote the american empire away it needs to be dismantled from the inside (because it has nukes) and you cannot do that at the ballot box. Americans need to organize alternative party structures that can mobilize the masses against the 2 sided fascist party of democrats and republicans.
Asking people to vote for the democrats is reactionary. It is asking people to remember the good old days under sleepy joe and forget that his real name is genocide joe. Its calling people with the siren’s song of the first back president obama and forgetting he did drone strikes on weddings and was called “the deporter in chief.”
The democrats do not make things better. Nobody should be wasting their breath saying “vote democrat.” If they want things to get better they should be telling people to organize to resist fascism and telling them that voting doesn’t make things better.
Yes, but you’re not wrong. It’s not like I’m disagreeing with you. I don’t see voting as anything more than a mechanism to count public opinion, so by itself it kind of really useless, it’s just an idea.
What I’m hoping to see, now that we know nobody cares about us and people are waking up to this reality, we’ll start uniting against capitalism and use whatever our material conditions allows us to do, to beat them. Instead of going to the past and trying to re-invent Marxism we should be supporting already existing projects. Learning from them.
I’m personally invested in solving issues like unwanted pregnancies and alcoholism as well as I’d like to see cleaner biosphere in my lifetime. Not that I’m counting on it, but I will die trying to make it work.
