I remember when download managers were invaluable. Leaving a download running overnight on trailer park internet, only to find in the morning that it had failed. Soul-crushing.

My only counterpoint would be “downloading a movie and discovering Jordan Capri.”
I look back now and remember how rewarding it was when that DivX file finally finished. “Hell yeah, movie time!”
