When we abhor the immoral actions of an evil person, we do not usually think their immoral actions give us moral license to engage in immoral behavior.
This is childish and indefensible, and I think you know that - so what’s the point here? You’re wasting my time, I’m not interested in talking to you further.
I’m not interested in being “the good guy” anymore. I’ve seen too many Ned Starks. This is a war, and I think it’s you acting like a child. Trump went low and Hillary went high, and look where that got us. I’ve got sand in my pocket and I’m not afraid to use it.
If the deplorables comment was the second biggest misstep of her campaign, backing down from it was the biggest. The comment was valid in it’s full context, even though it was politically tone-deaf. A large chunk of Trump supporters really are deplorable. Backing down or “going high” is what made it into such a massive vulnerability.
As an aside, Democrats have a lot to answer for in how we got to a culture that generates so many deplorable people.
Her entire campaign was tone deaf, it doesn’t matter if she “went low” or “went high” she fundamentally did not speak about what average people were struggling with in a realistic way, and her solutions were just “status quo”. It’s why Bernie Sanders did so well with younger folks by comparison.

Your scolding was entirely unexpected. Really.

“Hillary went high” lmfao
In her own Democratic establishment way anyways. Just in case you are unaware, I was referring to a Hillary quote, “when they go low, we go high”.
Oh yeah I remember, that and the “Deplorables” comment which should show you how committed she was to, “going high”

All true, just not relevant to my point.
