Is this an AI generated image? I think so for the following reasons.

At first I was wondering if it was possible to make the hull of the ship stay together leaning at that angle. Then I noticed the mast, which I’m certain can’t be made of purely snow. But maybe snow was packed onto a pole.

Then I looked at the background. There are 6 shovels scattered about. A lot of snow had (supposedly) been moved around, but did the neighbour go out and buy more shovels? He couldn’t use more than one at a time and they don’t look like different types for different sculpting purposes.

The downpipe on the house next door is at a weird angle and the siding/brickwork divide follows it so it’s not just broken.

I did some googling. I believe I found the source of this image. The source was a 10 minute AI generated video with the snowmen talking to each other. This seems to suggest this is AI generated however I will say there is a small chance the AI video was generated from the image and not the other way around.

      Some additional thoughts:

      • assuming this is real and not AI, the creator must be insanely talented. Not just some regular person but likely a known artist. If that is the case the artist likely posted this online to claim credit for their work. However I did not find anyone claim this work when googling for this.
      • not only are the number of shovels suspect but one shovel appears to be difting gravity while one of the shovels isnt a snow shovel but a “regular shovel”
      • the ocean current design around the door and ship is insanely detailed. Again if this was real, this would be a masterpiece, so it begs the question of why we wouldnt be able to find someone claim the work.

Look at the back spot inside the anchor housing. There’s no way to get that kind of blackness without dye or additional objects, but that detail isn’t present anywhere else. That alone shows it’s AI.

Edit: Wait is that a hole through the keel? In that case, what are those two snow turds doing there, and what’s supporting them?

I wondered this too, so I started looking at professional snow sculptures. I was paying particularly close attention to the railing and the long steam stack. I didn’t see anything quite like the level of consistency and delicacy on that railing. There’s some unbelievable shapes in the pro sculptures, but those shapes seemed larger than the boat, the general scale of the boat seems comparatively quite small. I’m highly skeptical that snow could be made to do that. Its possible that the pic could be the front yard of like a world class snow sculptor.
