Hello, so this isn’t a post I’m thrilled to make this post but recently I had an encounter with a Feddit admin here on our instance who was promoting Zionist apologia by defending Feddit’s moderation under the guise of the law. They ended up getting banned for that on lemmy.ml and they also got banned from that here under Golden Rule #8.
It also isn’t the first time they’ve doubled down on apologizing for Zionism as part of their server policy, a while ago there was drama in their Europe community and also led to them being censured on Fediseer by a few other instances for it. Which they chose to double down and threaten defederation as retaliation.
In addition to these horrific moderation practices (which goes beyond following german law but includes actual Zionist apologia and dismissal of people calling this out as just “bigots” or “antisemites”) there are a large amount of Zionist trolls in their userbase, and Feddit’s admins have confirmed that they will not remove Zionist apologia from their instance all but confirming their instance is a Liberal Zionist safe space (despite saying otherwise that it isn’t).
So I would like to ask the community if you have had any experiences with Zionist apologists on Feddit. It could be either moderation getting posts/comments remove, getting banned by a mod or admin there, or encounters with users there apologizing for Zionism and Zionist-friendly policy. Could even be just witnessing others do that. If you have do you have links or screenshots of it happening? It’s okay if you don’t. I look forward to hearing the community’s experiences.

I am well aware that Feddit has every right and ability to moderate their server how they want and by applicable law in their area. None of this changes whether or not they have apologized for Zionism. Their right or ownership of property doesn’t legitimize or justify Zionist apologia, or change the nature of it. If you feel you can’t say what you want to say due to German law, keep your mouth shut or use an account not connected to you with good OP-sec. You have no valid excuse to apologize for Zionist policy here.

I was banned from Feddit.org for criticizing Israel. Germans really live up to their reputation on Lemmy.
I believe you, it’s not that I don’t believe you but can you provide copies of the comments you made, as well as links to those removed comments to compare and contrast with the modlog ban messages from feddit?
Going through all of them is a hassle but the crux of it is that the German police beat up innocent protesters for protesting against Israel and the Feddit.org Nazis were going through their knees lying and spreading Zionist propaganda to excuse German police violence and support Israel.
