I’ve seen this meme so many times and it fucking never gets old because it really does encapsulate how absurd your standard X-Files episode is.
I think they are awesome. Rewatched nearly all seasons a year ago. :) Moulder is not a great actor. He just reads his lines. But Gillian can act, she is one big reason why I like it. She was also excellent in The Fall. I also really liked Cancer Man.
A good Xfiles episode is a lot like a good TOS episode – campy and fucking ridiculous, but man is it a good time.
The actors and the characters feel genuinely passionate and they bring you along for the ride
And in the end it really turns out to be the knife alien
Dont worry… Scully will reason/explain/pseudoscience it away with the voiceover at the end.
