      On the other hand, there’s one upside. I can’t afford to buy a house in San Diego. But I CAN afford to buy a house in Salem and just wait for the San Diego weather to come to me!

      Its a catch 22. Poor winter snowpack and precip does dry out forests, but it also stunts underbrush growth so that fires have a hard time starting and sustaining.
