But from this article this is relating to: Information boards in the museum’s ancient Middle East galleries, covering the period from 1500BC to 1700BC. The change doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. It wouldn’t make sense to refer to Ancient Rome as “Italy” or Ancient Persia as “Iran” either.
