The plugins are open source at least, and the notes it makes aren’t proprietary. It’s just an app to interact with them. Been using it as a trapper keeper for years and it’s been able to keep up with my changing needs. :) !obsidianmd@lemmy.world There’s thousands of plugins and the discord is a huge resource.
If you change your mind: https://github.com/linuxserver/docker-obsidian
You can do all this with Obsidian and plugins. I just saw a nice keep like interface one. You’ll have to play around a bit but it’s definitely doable.
I still use Kubuntu, btw.
You get to build a sandcastle in your little box and ignore everyone else. :)
Get a seperate drive, Windows is increasingly greedy and likes to overtake your bootloader, especially on it’s frequent updates. There are also issues with how Windows encrypts your drive. Just occasionally expect to have to tell Windows to fuck off every so often. I just run one of these scripts when it happened on the computer I used to dual on.
I use debian for my ancient media server. It’s great.
Do you want to play a game?
I ran the old launcher through steam. It looks like, according to that link, that you can trigger the old launcher screen through execution commands now too.
Speaking from my egregious amount of hours in GW1&2 back in the day, you should just launch it through steam with Proton. Check people’s settings here: https://www.protondb.com/app/1284210 There is likely a Lutris prefab as well.
None, you’re essentially putting that in the background without a display. I think the app works by tunneling the windows app into a little display window… I assume. I think it has to be a trick with displays, when I consider what I know by breaking mine a lot. :') Someone smarter than me on ths can correct me.
I really need to learn PostGIS. Got any tips?
Oh shit
