Unreal Tournament 2004 has been preserved for free and with a handy community patch by a fan community called OldUnreal.

Whoa, that’s pretty sweet. This game was trying some new things and it isn’t the most beloved of the series but I had a ton of fun with it back in the day.

Anybody tried this on Linux yet? I assume Proton will work.

No proton needed, it’s Linux native.

Installer worked great on Fedora with no issues.

Proton/wine/whatever translation layer not needed, the game is linux native
Actually, ut2k4 was always linux native, they just updated it.
      Ive gotten it running nicely
