Vulkan compute has been catching up to CUDA for a while now.
And devs are preferring it due to it being cross-platform.
CUDA is on its last legs, and as the benefits diminish, the cost of using it being unable to run your stuff on anything but nvidia GPUs, becomes harder to swallow.
Why? Nobody’s going to be able to buy your product for another decade.
