Anna’s Archive has lost its .li domain a few hours ago, likely due to ongoing legal pressure. The .gl domain survived for now.
Edit: Looks like they added new domains.

I know blockchains aren’t popular in some parts, but this sort of thing is exactly what ENS is for. They could buy a domain name there that could never be “taken away” by any outside authority, to serve as an ultimate fallback.
I2P & Onion sites exist for this purpose without wasting copious amounts of power.
There are existing alternative web protocols as well.
ENS runs on Etherium which no longer uses POW, thus doesn’t waste power in the same way as eg bitcoin
also I2P and onion don’t have name systems per se, so that doesn’t actually address the problem… AA could just use an IP address or something, but they require (for human usability) well known domain names
I2P and onion still require systems for discovery. they solve different problems to name systems
That’s the website, not ENS itself. ENS is a smart contract running on Ethereum, access to it cannot be disabled without shutting down Ethereum as a whole.
