However, it pleases me to know that no matter how much detestation these so-called fans spew online, it won’t influence how Star Trek’s Alex Kurtzman proceeds producing content for the future of the franchise.
Don’t direct your rage at Ensign Tilly, Star Trek fans — it’s Alex Kurtzman who deserves 100% of the blame for what they’ve done.
I guess that point sailed over your fucking head.
Odd, since it seemed aimed at my ankles. I just wanted to quote it so maybe others following the link will know the level of bullshit they’ll be stepping into.
Aimed at your ankles? For saying, what, don’t be incredibly hateful and toxic to people?
You really did not process a single piece of information in the entirety of Star Trek, did you?
JFC…in the words of William Shatner, “get a life”.
It’s the every other rule. ST fans (and I’m one of them) have always bashed on one spin-off or another. Every other ST movie kinda sucked to some, beloved by others (looking at you ST:IV).
I didn’t care for Discovery or Academy but I’m really enjoying Lower Decks and Strange New Words. Didn’t care for Voyager but loved Deep Space 9.
It seems like some writers/posters think we all unite under the ST flag but we never have. What I think binds us is suffering through a shit product knowing, “eh it happens sometimes, the next one will be better.”
Eh… I’m enjoying watching Star Trek: Barefoot Casual Space Mom.
Same here. I’ve enjoyed watching every Trek I’ve seen. They’ve all got different things to offer. It’s kinda creepy when everyone expects things to be identical to how they want it and how they remember it. Like… bruh. IDIC. Shit applies to the shows too, you know. None of the previous shows were all the same, I don’t know why people are expecting the newer ones to be identical.
