Yeah, the students that engage and rate the lectures, tutorials, etc aren’t cramming “everything” at 2am before exams and generally fare better in 2nd/3rd year when these strategies get less viable.
Anecdotally, they’re also less likely to get into embarrassing arguments with a lecturer who holds a PhD, because they’ve asked for the 15th time if a particular topic is going to be on the exam and pissed them off.

I just object to 99% of advertising. If someone walked up to me in the street and interrupted what I was doing to try and get me to buy something I’d tell them to fuck off. I was fine with banner ads. Even animated ones. Then they had obnoxious audio, took over screen space and/or auto played. YouTube went from a 1-2 five second ads to ads over a minute. So now they all get blocked.
Bonus rant: Billboards are eco vandalism. You drive from my former home town to the beach and go from a bunch of green farming country, beautiful forest and mountains to coastlands. With billboards trying their best to fuck it up along the way. Fuck ignoring it, it’s a pleasure actively blocking it so these parasites waste money.

As someone who enjoyed horror/graphic movies I fucking hated Serbian Film. Being so pointlessly violent and leaning into shock value was offensive in itself. Actually was so annoyed I had wasted my time with it. Like every choice in the movie was some edgelord thinking “ok what’s the most fucked up thing I could do now”. Just wanted all the shock factor with 0 effort into making any sense. The directors reasoning of “something something how the government treats civilians” confirmed my disdain of it. As someone who’s watched a lot of graphic trash it was an unfamiliar reaction to a movie of that nature.
