3 months agoI wish we saw more (good) mobile ports of those old games. 4X/management sims are great on a touchscreen device, and the lower resolution isn’t a problem on small screens. There’s so much mobile garbage that isn’t as good as games made 20-30 years ago that are essentially abandoneare now.
Not enough people mention Donella Meadows when bringing up theory, which I think is a missed opportunity. Systems thinking is very complementary to socialist theory, and Meadows’ book Thinking in Systems is quite approachable. It’s a good recommendation for someone who wants to learn more but still has some liberal brain worms.
