I really like PBS and what they’ve done for the world throughout my life but whoever is in charge of their archives should be drawn, quartered, razed to ash and then asked politely to leave for having absolutely no in house storage.

I think PBS could probably handle the cost of one slightly above average old desktop PC (15 years old is FIINE) and 6 20TB hard drives FFS.

I’d appreciate it if they had a subscription setting of “do not allow my subscription money to be spent on doing anything non-email related” because over the last few years I’ve seen a whole lot of “we want to have a cloud solution to replace everything you use on Google/Apple/Microsoft!” when all I want is secure email.

This is what getting old does to a person. Subscribed for mail years ago, now peeved they barely even care about email any more.

Boy oh boy, was it ever a bad implementation. Whoooo nelly was (is) that.
I use PPAs in Linux and I stay clear of the AUR. Entire open source projects have added such things to Windows but Microslop still rejects doing it properly themselves. Torches and pitchforks for Redmond one day!

Well I’ll be. Didn’t know the Yoga line had abnormal hardware for things like trackpads/etc, as Thinkpads in general are considered to be so good for Linux. If you should tinker in the future maybe try something with a much more modern kernel 7+ like CachyOS. Either way nice chatting have a good one.

Not to sell your experience short, that sucks, but that’s on Nvidia for being the worst company in the world for driver support.
