Ah yes, the old “democrats can’t win unless they’re republicans too” strategy that I wish would become immediate cause for shun and ridicule. The people who want to vote for a Republican are going to vote for the Republican, even if the Democrat has the exact same policies. Stop trying to court republicans as a democrat, and start worrying about mobilizing enough of your base and energizing moderates with some real policies that will actually make things better.

Let it never be said that California isn’t sunny. I moved here over a decade ago, and still by month eight of unbroken cloudless blue sky, I start to lose my shit a little. But it does make it a good state for solar.
