i’ve never had this issue, my only gripe is that I set my system font to Jetbrains Mono using gnome tweaks which conflicts with Wezterm as it’s default font is also Jetbrains Mono

Anyone using Wezterm?
and change the password to something from correcthorsebatterystaple.net.
i wonder how secure or private it is to use a password generated online. You should use a password manger instead. They have built-in password generators
thanks for this, I was also in this situation, I got a xiaomi router and flashed OpenWRT on it, I then turned off the Wifi switch on the ISP router making it a modem only but I was still concerned about my internet data as it moves between my modem and their servers. your comment made it clearer
i should probably invest in that mullvad vpn now
everyone keeps mentioning Pixel Devices, but I’d personally never use one for the same reason I won’t wear branded clothes
you should check out OnePlus devices, the bootloaders are easily unlocked and they’ve major LineageOS support, the phones also have a high quality build, if you like the form of your XR, definitely check out the OnePlus 8/8 pro or 9/9 pro
another option is if you can get any of the Samsung S10 models with an exynos chip, they also have strong build and are supported by lineageOS as well
Why not explain what’s missing to the room?
Keep up the good work, I use this on nixos
If you’re on Linux and you don’t want to use KeepassXC, you can check out Secrets on Flathub, it has imo a better UI/UX
i used to do this, until I started using syncthing
i only add password entries on my laptop then sync the file directly to my phone using syncthing to avoid conflict
dual boot NixOS and FreeBSD on a single drive, ext4 on Nix and ZFS on FreeBSD. each partition has its own boot, swap and root, all encrypted
btw, OP wrote that FAT32 is limited, isn’t it the default fs for the boot partition? can other fs like ext2/3 be used?
much appreciated, I just can’t seem to get mine setup right
Same here, I support both of you, I’ve never voted and will never vote for a lesser evil kind of candidate. I imagine those who do so are fancy folks who live in first world nations and preach a biased take on democracy. They’ve never known an oppressive government masquerading as a democracy, people in my country literally canvass and vote for the same ppl who strip them of their rights. That’s on them, can never be me.
If you don’t mind, can you share your helix config?
Is it any different from the others i.e Namecheap or Porkbun?
getting a domain means renting it, you have to constantly renew it, you can’t outright buy a domain. although njalla takes it a step further and rent it on your behalf, you’re still the custodian of said domain but they can take actions on your domain without your input.
Please don’t use Signal, the US government has all the keys. Self host XMPP, Matrix and SimpleX servers and make sure encryption is properly configured. If you’re not generating your encryption keys, why should you use them?
i nuked my nixos install twice to install guix and twice I went back to my nix setup. GuixSD is missing a certain polish to it. It feels like it’s on the way there but probably not yet…
the second time was just last week, after setup on sway, I installed flatpak apps and tried setting up nix-env for packages, some XDG_DATA_DIR fucked up and I couldn’t even see the installed packages or start them from a terminal
servers are also slow and rebuilding is a fucking pain
Thirding sway, although I use it with gnome. It’s a very good first choice for a tiling window
What do you use as a replacement for Caddy and Redis?
there’s also the 14 eyes, when you consider this, you don’t even want to do or put anything online as everyone and everything wants to violate you for some profit
i’m now considering South America and Russian services as alternatives, but of course I’ll be encrypting my data before it leaves my device
You should try Fedora Sway in a Virtual Machine to see if you’d like it
