why do I need to explain it to you? I already said I like CachyOS and I want to try the server version. that’s it.

because I like cachyos and want to try their server version?
just realized that Marvel Comics did the same thing with Ms. Marvel in like the 70s or 80s but it wasn’t as “religious”.
that’s insulting. It’s one thing to try and be nice and send a genuine email to Dr. Pike thanking and acknowledging their outstanding contributions but to have your crappy LLM write the email?
Surprised Claude didn’t hallucinate the majority of this because it certainly hallucinates everything else on a daily basis. Boggles my mind how one LLM that used to be praised for coding assistance can turn into such garbage in the span of like a couple of months. You’re better off having your cat help you with coding than utilizing Claude or Claude Code at this point.

yeah I should have added no need to go beyond season 1. which is a shame cause I REALLY liked Psycho Pass season 1 and the rest was just…really?

“also involving Italy, Japan”
I see what you did there.

honestly if they do this I will slap it on my server. I love CachyOS, it’s a great and solid distro and by far the best Arch fork out there. I’ve never had issues with it and while sure the install is probably the longest out of all the distros I’ve used it’s still great. Very solid team behind it.

with some interactions I’ve seen from GNOME fanboys on mastodon…honestly wouldn’t put it past them. /s

Bubblegum Crisis, Bubblegum Crash, Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor 1 and 2, Armitage III, AD Police Files, Memories, Neo Tokyo, Megazone 23, Venus Wars, Techno Police 21C, AI City, Dominion Tank Police.
Most of these are movies or very short series (like 4 episodes max).
there’s also a hell of a lot more. 80s/90s anime was peak ultraviolent cyberpunk. And if you don’t mind stepping out of the 90s and maybe watching something a bit longer I highly suggest Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and S.A.C. 2nd Gig. by far my favourite anime series of all time. Also Psycho-Pass.

I mean I haven’t noticed any real differences and the performance on both have been great. If you’re using CachyOS they’re in there by default so no need to install something like ProtonUP-QT to easily get the GE protons if you don’t want to.

same. I have over 300 games in my steam library that i’ve bought over the years and the vast majority of which I never launched. So now i’m going through them. combine that with finally getting retroarch/libretro all PROPERLY set up I’ve also got a shit ton of roms from various consoles to play also, games I couldn’t afford as a kid.
Like right now I’m FINALLY playing Ocarina of Time for the first time ever and it’s a blast, now I understand why people love it so much. Also started playing New Vegas and System Shock on the PC which I’ve owned for years and never played and both those are great too. New Vegas is REALLY fun.

absolute workhorse of a card, still have one on a very old Dell with CachyOS on it.
CachyOS is also a fantastic distro. I use the CachyOS kernel on my NixOS laptop. And the recent CachyOS Protons on steam are great. Also have some great Arch repos. It’s just a great distro that tries to improve just about everything and does it well.
easily bypassed though. literally just refresh your browser a few times and it’ll stop asking you for 2FA.

it’s because with Archinstall it tells you what to do/setup as opposed to the user having to utilize something like the Arch Wiki to set it up. So it acts almost like any other distro install. It walks you through the process.

I would suggest when you decide to give Arch a go for the first time to start out with something like CachyOS to get your legs under you so you can easily understand it. That being said Arch is painfully easy to install now thanks to Archinstall but going the CachyOS route it’ll install the packages you need and then you can understand what you do and don’t need when it comes time to install regular Arch. Otherwise you might just install Arch and then wonder why some stuff doesn’t work because you didn’t install certain packages.

There are quite a few great linux content creators on youtube. The Black Don, Tony (his tmux config is top notch), typecraft, Diinki, Vimjoyer (who pretty much taught me how to use NixOS completely), and Veronica Explains.
Although Veronica is unfortunately taking time off because of the comments she receives which really sucks as her videos remind me of old episodes of the Screen Savers and Call for Help.

Canadian here, it wasn’t an “accident”. We knew what we were doing.

Love her videos. she got me hooked on DWM and ST.

I don’t know a single person that uses MX Linux and yet it’s always at the top of the distrowatch list
heaven forbid you go read about it. You’re weird, man. Takes all of 5 seconds to web search the distro and find what makes it different.
