Not really. Android lacks a comprehensive full-system backup option like iOS has. It’s one of my biggest gripes about the OS. Best you can do is a cloud backup, which only saves certain apps’ data like games.
Many free roms such as CalyxOS, GrapheneOS, iodéOS include Seedvault.
I’ve even successfully migrated between those. Some settings or pre-installed apps might be different, so you should check your settings, but all apps will be there. In my case only the banking app wanted me to log in again, seems to verify some sort of device identifier.
Is there a way to back up my phone so that I can roll back if graphene doesn’t pan out for me?

That sucks…
Thanks. I’m gonna have to take the plunge I guess…
Maybe I could sync with an other phone and then sync that back?

Some manufacturers distribute their systems’ images afaik. You could see if yours has that too.
Also, backing up your original system, from what I searched a few years back, wasn’t a thing, but things change fast so maybe there’s a way now.
