Yea, this is beyond all that. I’m having them finish the job when they put him under anesthetic next week for a little operation. I usually get him a lions cut this time of year. His undercoat is just so fine.
I’ve had one longhair my entire life and he wasn’t too bad; he needed weekly brushing, more during the shedding seasons, and he’d get matts under his armpits and around the base of his tail. He was pretty good about it though. Otherwise I’ve had shorthairs; I brush my current cat mostly as an anti-hairball exercise.
Yeah, outside of this month he isn’t too bad, just occasional little ones around his bad joints, which I try to get after he is medicated for the night. I also have a husky mix molting atm, so at least they’re in sync and get the fluff all out at once. 😂😂
