• I have been told by a lot of people both online and IRL that I should do an open mic night at a comedy club. I have two problems with this:

    1. My humor is extremely off-the-cuff; I don’t think I could sit down and just write something funny to have a set. It would have to be improv.

    2. It’s not just that I am introverted; I literally freeze in situations like that and can not for the life of me speak when on stage in front of people anymore. IDK what happened to make me this way, as I used to do choir and drama and have been in plays; a couple of which were the main character and/or had solo songs. But it’s been a problem since at least 10th grade.

Maybe it’s my crossed wires upstairs but i hate talking about family and jobs. I genuinely don’t care about your job and hardly your family.

These are the things people really want to know about?

It’s not what they want to know about, it’s what they find easy to talk about. They’re topics that everyone has some connection with, and with which you’re unlikely to cause a significant disagreement by bringing it up. You start with the easy stuff, and then use whatever comes up as a bridge to more meaningful conversation.

It Kind of depends. I work somewhere where I can do what I like to do. I constantly learn new things and can take part in good projects. This means, that I kind of like to talk about it. I usually assume that other people have that too and thats why I ask them.

I think people who believe in a two state solution might actually be the minority on the fediverse. Tankies support radicals who want every single israelite removed from the region, which has some overlap with anarchists. On the other end of the spectrum you’ve got a lot of pro-Israeli assholes from various botnets and psyops and a few rightwingers as well.

To believe in a two state solution implies the continued existence of both states and their respective rights to defend from the other, which is definitely a hard thing to sell these days.

I think the world should offer asylum to whoever wants it, and then withdrawl all military aid and just let them have at it.

The problem is then there is no protection in place for global trade through the region, which is pretty important for both prices of goods and also diplomacy between the west and the east. It would become a hotbed of Pirates.

Of course, right now, that hardly seems like a real concern when both the west and the east are acting like a bunch of fucking pirates instead of protecting trade.

I’d be fine with a no state solution. Move everyone out and put them in timeout with the other riff raff we sent to Australia

Turn most of the middle east into a cultural heritage and historic preservation site, lol. If you leave a dock in the strait of Hormuz you see a big sign “You are now entering the British Museum”.
