Alberta separatist groupRussian influence campaignTry american interference

Because it’s not both, not even remotely to the same degree. Russian interests don’t own all the major papers in Alberta, American ones do. The separatists haven’t been meeting people in Moscow, they’ve been meeting them in fucking Mar-a-lago. Putin didn’t offer to float these people half a billion dollars, the Trump administration did. Don’t get me wrong, fuck Russia. But I am sick to death of Americans trying to deflect from this. Wake up and smell the roses, your country is an evil rogue actor.
It’s not Russia and American interests. It’s Trump and Putin interests. Countries and nations no longer really matter to the billionaire class. Just because we’re stuck viewing things through the lens of left-wing/right-wing governments and geopolitics doesn’t mean it’s actually relevant to what they’re doing and what they have planned for us. They’re going to replace us with AI and robots while they kill us all off, so they can have a sparsely populated tech-utopia ecological paradise all to themselves. The attacks on democracy and the dismantling of the US government is not an accident, the chaos and conflict is all part of the plan.
I am not American, it is curious that you assume that right of the bat. I have come to believe that Russia is generally involved (among with US) in any movement that stokes right wing extremism and separitism because they support those movements with a side bribe of “support Russia’s invasion in Nato/EU summit etc”. Putin and Trump deserve to rot in the same cesspit, they are the one and the same thing in my perspective when it comes to evaluating how much shit they try unleash on the world (whether or not one is more potent at doing is not a question I am trying to get here).
And it wouldn’t be the first time that Russia has attempted this:
Hey look, it’s one of those American owned major Alberta papers.

The US is absolutely the primary foreign actor in this situation and all you are doing here is muddying the water. If you don’t know enough to know that, maybe your commentary on the subject ain’t worth much.
Hey look, it’s one of those American owned major Alberta papers.
Sure however it is not very sound logic that an American owned media outlet trying to stoke separatist movement warns Canada against foreign influence on separatist movements. I do genuinely believe that American owned Canadian news outlets are there to spread propaganda. But a more nuanced understanding of this is that the form of propaganda changes according to context. Around the time this news was released (2019), US’s main motivation probably wasn’t to stoke separatism in Canada but probably to fight it since US interests and Canadian interests aligned at the time. So they benefited more in fighting against Russian supported separatism. Now under Trump they have changed their foreign policies regarding this and have the same angle as Russia. I am not intent on proving that US is not a major player in stoking world-wide right wing extremism, my point is that they are currently partners with Russia on this.
I can give you tens of more references regarding.

and you can repeat “meh don’t like this reference, it is west propaganda” until infinity.
However, 1- Your fervour in discrediting any Russian influence on Canadian politics, to the level of being aggressive and insulting, 2- Just discrediting references that don’t align with your world view without providing any as counter proof or trying to understand nuances, 3-following the usual rhetoric of “it is US backed propaganda against Russia” and 4-Getting offended by me calling Putin the same turd that is Trump makes me think you are an ml alt account. If not consider joining.
However, the petition could face another hurdle this week as an Edmonton, Alberta, judge is expected to rule on a court challenge launched by a group of Alberta First Nations who say Alberta separation would violate treaty rights.
Imagine if Alberta decides to secede from Canada, the First Nations get their own separate … nations, and then Alberta realizes they made a Brexit and want back in. First Nations sovereignty through the back door!
