I don’t think you understand: human-to-human transmission of hantavirus is insanely rare, to the point its existence is credibly disputed as of 2021.
That isn’t to say “panic” – just that this is well outside the norm for hantavirus if true.
I do understand that, and I think the reason it may have happened now is because people are crammed together on a boat.
I saw some coverage of this yesterday, and i gotta say: THANK FUCKING GOD it didn’t happen somewhere in Murikkka, else we’d be exporting hontavirus all over the globe by June.
