Hi! As heatwave scorches Europe, the second problem I’m a little afraid of (especially as someone without any melanin in my skin) is the sun. I’ve seen someone mentioning a sun shirt but trying to find real information online is very confusing, especially with EU in mind ( I see US has something called UPF) and if you are not looking for ads. Maybe someone knows something about it?

That’s the problem with sunscreen, too.
Was curious from your comment, and found a rather good article testing if sunscreens caused skin to heat up more. They found un-tinted sunscreen does not meaningfully contribute, but tinted ones did. TIL!
It makes sense that UV is only s small % of the energy from the sun, so sunscreen would only be responsible for a small change in heating.
Looks like some can inhibit sweating, too, which could be a double whammy.

Good find, hadn’t considered that effect. I always tend to use the mineral types that study seems to show blocks sweating the most.
