“Creating the internet’s largest dedicated repository of information on anti-consumer practices, one edit at a time.”

I think it’s important to have one central, accessible place documenting every scandal, controversy, screw-up a company has ever pulled. It allows you to make better choices and to better cut through the PR bullshit of said companies.

However, consumer rights wiki doesn’t come up when I search for “[company X] controversies” or similar terms in search engines (based on my limited testing).

That’s why I feel it’s important for more people to know about this site.

I don’t know why people don’t like Louis. He’s one of the best advocates for pro-consumer rights that we have, and he’s putting in a ton of hard work to effect real positive change. I wish we had more people like him, and I wish I could do more to help!

IIRC he was telling people to spam sponsorblock with fake segments, because in some videos he had parts where he just stopped discussing the topic and talked to his (sickly?) cat when it came by, and people were accurately marking those segments as offtopic or whatever it’s called. He was presenting it as evil sponsorblock blocking his sick elderly cat. I could try to find a link later when I’m at my PC.

Other than that, he’s generally alarmist and arrogant, but I do appreciate him and what he’s doing.

I watch him frequently and people don’t like him because he’s very direct and comes across as holier than thou. But fuck them, the corpo bootlickers can take their decorum and shove it.

His output of videos is too high for how long they are. They also have inconsistent runtimes. I think he’s saying the right things, but his production is doing a disservice to his content.

My onoy issue is the frequency of uploads. I use a frontend for no algorithm, just sewuential posts anf he can clog a feed with some cat nonsense.

That’s a shame. I’ve had my Litter Robot 2 for over a decade and loved it. Considering a replacement soon when it finally reaches end of life. Sounds like I need to look into other options. Anyone know a good alternative?
