What about people who’ve been attacked and kidnapped by ICE?

What about the indigenous people whose land was stolen and renamed “America”?

What about the black people who are undermined by a system built to oppress and oppose them in every way?

What about Iranian, Lebanese, and Palestinian people who are being bombed by American bombs?

It would seem that most people you know are “young privileged liberals”.

As for me, I’m a transgender woman who is forced to watch in horror as my rights, and those of my brothers and sisters, are eroded away and we are persecuted.

I may be young, and I have some privilege (though, I remember getting food donations from the EU when I was younger), but I am most certainly NOT a liberal.

        Yours truly, a commie tgirl ☭ ⚧️

Most Americans I’ve met who hate America are less privileged than most of those who don’t and aren’t liberals either

Sounds like you only know other Americans lol. Saying “your privilege is showing” and not meaningfully elaborating isn’t helping anyone.

My in-laws are from south korea and my sister in law lives in south korea. The family i know there loves coming to America.

My best friends are from Laos. They already love America and are the most successful of my friends.

The only people i personally know that hate America are the children in white middle class families.

The sample size is small, but it’s what i experience.

Personally I’ve met a lot of people in the US who have family connections to Palestine, and regardless of whether they’re fully anti-US or not, people will call them that for protesting the genocide and not being white

I’m Asian, my experience is that American media in Asia is so dominant that many Asians dream and fawn over the US. Little do they realise the casual gun violence, lack of affordable healthcare and education and the poverty in the country. A lot of Asians also think Trump and ICE only go after “illegals” because Asian media don’t really cover much of that event and is considered an American domestic issue.

The depiction of the US in Asia is sanitised and viewed from rose tinted glasses. That’s not to say America isn’t great in many aspects but many Asian migrants say it’s not what they expected.
