maybe this sparks the lemmy algorithm more than drawing posts? this one looks like a poorly edited repost from reddit, so maybe my chances are better.

anyway, happy for yall -

im too lonely to rationally be making posts like this… one more month. then the study period is over and friend time may begin.

next time ill make a post that looks like a twitter screenshot but its actually me farming the algo-

yesyes i know lemmy doesnt have algo but it sure feels like itLEMMY WORLD USERS!!! >;(

i sepcifically didnt put the “made by… with…” cuz maybe that triggers the minds of the redditors.

EDIT: whoopsie daisy forgot to put alt image

    plead? like… like pleading?.. okay

pleeeeeeease dont think of me as like-dependant, im TotallyNotLikeDependant.

ummm… i now looked up what that “plead” actually means. sooo -

    not guilty.

i am not guilty of … getting sad over numbers not being up… okay no, thats false.

for your specific question, i think yea i am. but maybe “depressed” is a bit harsh. like - thats a strong word for being disappointed, u see?

    so, not really.

not guilty, even if yes, i am disappointed a bit when i see my drawn OC posts underperforming literal twitter screenshots and reddit reposts.

i think that puts it well.

What I’ve come to realize about reposts and screenshots are that they’re only the best of the best. Only the most exceptional posts and comment threads are worth sharing, and only the best of those get popular and reposted. Most of the posts those randos make don’t get as much attention, and I’m sure the ones they find the funniest aren’t the ones that go viral.

The highest quality work isn’t grown perfect from the start, but cut back and added to multiple times, ideally by multiple people with different perspectives. For memes, it isn’t worth it to go through too many drafts, as your post still might not land regardless of what you do. If you accept that many of them won’t make it, you can throw stuff at the wall until something sticks.
