    The issue with that play is that the players are on different teams, so the ref assumed that it was an attempt to seduce an opposing player to sign with your team. That is clearly against tampering rules. Team employees, including players, may only seduce free agents, not players already signed to a team.

    The example OP provided names LeBron, Kyrie, and J. R. Smith, all of whom played together in Cleveland. I assume they mean that the players making out are teammates, so the WNBA ruling is moot.

    From what I understand, there is no basketball rule against sloppy makeouts between players on the same team. But that is not to say that it is a valid tactic. The NBA has 2 teams in Florida, 3 in Texas, and several more throughout the South and mid-West. At many arenas, a display contrary to good Christian values will result in security staff and any police present to immediately arrest the offending players, possibly with deadly force.
