This is superb. Really well done satire.
I hope this isn’t considered political. I figure it is good for this audience.
If you saw the Thursday stream with the You Are Being Lied To podcast followed by Emergency, still watch this one, it looks like a lot of Emergency was cut for time in that video. This is a fuller version. If you skip this one, you’ll miss out on the “Alex Jones has been replaced multiple times already” caller and the Phoenician conspiracy.
Not sure I’ll watch the whole episode but holy hell, that is one of the most impressive and consistent impressions I’ve ever seen and heard.
Just watched it. Loved it. So good. Perfect satire… or is it freedom of speech?
Let’s talk Popcorn Classics instead
he’s not dead, right? 🥲
Did you not see the head pop?
It might be like a Bozo the Clown situation
Alex Jones claims to be alive and well, but Tim Heidecker says he believes that must be an imposter. The Onion/InfoWars remains the only source claiming “Alex Jones popped like a balloon in his car two months ago.” Tim’s forensics expert, who is definitely not some paid actor, said the video appears authentic, but that it was impossible he popped because he ate too many burgers, so it must have been some sort of explosive. Anyway, I can only assume that he’s dead until proven otherwise.
I can’t believe how much money they wasted to bring back infowars to make fun of it
Wasted? *Money well spent.
Eh. I just don’t understand why satire has to be branded, this brand should be dead and buried. It’s not like it was even a serious news program before, so I don’t know what they are making fun of, it was already ridiculous
They’re making fun of their fans. I think you underestimate the value of controlling a media empire.
Like, if the Fox corporation was sued into oblivion, it would not be better to let it die. It would be better to… Use it for actual news, because of its enormous reach.
Tim has been making fun of Alex Jones for over a decade. Him doing the voice perfectly isn’t new. Getting the opportunity to satirize Alex Jones media empire with a direct pipeline to his entire audience is literally invaluable to him as a comedian/artist.
It’s totally on brand for Tim.
You know that the money goes to the Sandy Hook families, right?
