I was really uninterested in the fascist is the protag anime, but y’all enjoy.
I want to preface this by saying it’s perfectly fine for anyone to not enjoy this series. I just want to mention this in case anyone is silently judging viewers:
It’s fine to enjoy shows with flawed/evil protagonists so long as both the creators and viewers recognize that fact. That style of protagonist can make for some brilliant writing.
Seeing as the title refers to Tanya as evil, and the fact she repeatedly horrifies and scares everyone else, I think it’s pretty hard for a viewer to see her as anything but a villain.
Yes, there are plenty of people mature enough to separate the atrocities committed by an MC and their enjoyment of said MC

Tbf, the series started off being mainly based in WWI. That being said, they’ve slowly been bringing in more tech and figures from WWII.
What?! I didn’t even know there was a new season coming! Between this and GitS it may be time to get back into anime for a time.
I know it’s rather early, but I believe I’ve found my favourite action anime of the season. The aerial combat scenes are sick.
Meta: are there any history buff among us? I wonder how historically accurate the events of this episode are. Is there a real world counterpart to the encirclement of their base?

The aerial combat scenes are sick.
There is one cut that was especially great, where they are fighting inside the clouds and Tanya’s computational orb and the fighter’s tracer rounds are lighting up the clouds around her from the inside. Some of the best compositing I’ve seen in a long time.
