Back when I was an art student I liked watercolor or other translucent ink with sharpie or another ink it wouldn’t interact with for the lineart. I also used to enjoy charcoal and chalk on grey paper though. These days I’m bigger on inkscape or scribus / publisher since my actual career benefits more from creating diagrams and signage, but I’ve also done a few things like my profile pic by putting AI filters over crude gimp collages. Basically I’ll use anything and everything I have no standards and very few but also very broad preferences.
