I watched I Swear at some point recently and I really want everyone to give this film a go.

It’s about the true story of a British man who develops tourettes when he is around the age of 13 and the ways this condition isolates him from society, in the cruelest of ways.

But weirdly enough it is also about how tourettes opens a few doors to a meaningful existence when he meets the right people, who are willing to give him a chance to reach his potential.

It is an incredibly heartwarming film and is equal parts hysterically funny and very, very touching. Sometimes it’s downright depressing. You just want to hug this guy the whole time even if it would probably result in him punching you in the mouth and calling you a cunt, lol.

We just rewatched The Dish and drank a glass to both Sam Neill and Tom Long.

The last time we watched, it was projected onto a bedsheet hanging off the back of my delivery van at Aileron Roadhouse in the middle of Australia surrounded by optical telescopes, a 2m “portable” broadband vSat dish, with the Sungroper solar car team during the 2003 World Solar Challenge … vying for the Yahoo! most remote internet cafe … we lost out to Mount Everest 😁

Green Book, a movie about a black pianist hiring an italian driver to drive him into southern US state for a music tour. Absolutely wonderful movie, warm my heart while also boiling my blood.

Watched The Drama. It was alright. Some of the characters were incredibly annoying.

The Furious is on my list.

I thought The Drama was quite amazing! One of the more thought provoking and infuriating movies I have seen recently!

The layers in this film and the discussions it is able to start are quite bold and and really important!

And you’re absolutely right that some of the characters were annoying. Especially Rachel and Charlie. I wanted to slap both of them for almost the entire runtime xD

    A couple of great ones!

Dead Talents Society; Taiwanese comedy horror with an absolutely delightful vibe. Good characters, a few fantastic running gags and just a great time all around.

The Furious; rocking brawler movie. Do you like watching great fight choreography? Watch the heck out of this.

I watched The Hot Rock, a heist movie from the early 70s starring Robert Redford and Zero Mostel by the same screen writer as The Princess Bride.

A criminally (ha) underrated caper; only one plot point didn’t age well, but fortunately it was only immersion-breaking and not skeevy. Highly recommended.

Oh, and last week I watched Furiosa, Fury Road, and The Road Warrior back-to-back over three days. What a spectacular set of movies.
