Not a fork, and not a response to Linus’ comments, but fuck, why let that get in the way of a headline?

This would be one of those times where your post would be a lot better if it included more than just the deceptive clickbait headline.

No, this isn’t really a response to the Emperor Penguin’s challenge – for a start, it looks like it was done with AI – but the timing was irresistible.

    Thanks, Liam.

Never mind not being a fork – Poseidon’s kernel isn’t even really a port of Linux. It’s a rewrite, and a rewrite of a very early version. It’s based on Linux kernel 0.11

I hope at least two people step on Lego for 1) writing that headline and 2) posting it verbatim

      Like come the fuck on

Nobody is ever going to deploy anything on a bot-generated rewrite of a prototype kernel from 35 years ago

Too bad the job “journalism” has gone from a respected profession, the “fourth pillar of democracy”, to whatever fucking joke this is.

That’s fine, but there is literally zero benefit except a flex. All the people claiming better security clearly do not understand how a kernel works, let alone a multi-faceted kernel like this, and what memory even means in relation to a monolith that sort of behaves like a microkernel.

It’s really pathetic honestly seeing all these Luddites that claim to be progressive, which I’m guessing many are likely foreign operatives, act like a bunch of regressive Republicans.

Your use of Luddite as a pejorative outs you as willfully ignorant of both the matter at hand and the history of the Luddite movement. Your alignment with the corporate narrative here makes you sound like far more of a republican than any “AI” critic I’ve ever seen. Especially that “foreign operative” call out, that’s peak republican right there.

wait… lets step out of the main topic of the post and focus on foreign operatives. all the shit we are dealing with is a direct result of foreign influence. their goal of destroying our country was getting trump in power. it has been going on for a long time. it was discovered that both sides in charlottesville were influenced by russia. they stoked the fire

every big divisive topic online is drivem by foreign influence. on both sides. but everything maga believes was put there by either china or russia.
