    that’s why they removed it, probably. denuvo only keeps that stuff on as long as nobody has breached it.

    iirc there are only a few people who actually know how to do it, too.

      It’s not Denuvo, it’s the developer/publisher.

      They pay a monthly fee ~$25,000 and $0.50 per game activation.

      Developers/publishers only use Denuvo briefly to avoid day 1 piracy being possible (even though I hear it now is) and they drop it after a few months given the crazy cost of Denuvo.

          Indeed. It’s why you often hear about games removing Denuvo. They’re not doing it in response to player complaints, they’re doing it because they don’t want the ongoing cost and also sales have peaked and are dropping off, reducing the need to mitigate piracy (since those who were going to buy will have done so already).
