I played paintball once and they had a “tag them out” rule. I snuck up on someone and tagged them. Pretty satisfying. Then I got shot with a paintball while standing there smug.
I’ve played airsoft a few times and paintball once. The airsoft field I played at had a rule where you could say “bang” or something to take someone out close up instead of shoot them (you could do either if your gun shot lower than a given speed). The paintball field had a rule where you couldn’t shoot someone close up and had no close range alternative, so it was just an awkward moment if you were too close to shoot someone. It was pretty stupid.
I karate-chopped a guy walking through a doorway playing airsoft. It did not work twice haha
