If you think that the answer isn’t violence you should know that neither is your silence.

    Stand up. Speak out.

Yeah nah. Justified violence in self defense is still violence. Let’s not remove the meaning of words please.

is it technically violence to defend yourself from a nazi? sure. if you consider the nazis human.

            tip:

they. are. not. human. (by choice. one gives up humanity by choosing to be a nazi.)

sure. yes, it’s violence because fists hit things. sure. i am saying that specifically in relation to nazis, the value of self defense makes the “violence” no longer violence when it’s used as self defense.

It’s still violence and you are being ridiculous. You can say that violence against nazis is ok, you don’t need to pretend.

Judging by your reply I believe you have misunderstood what my post means.

I am in no way explicitly precluding the killing of Nazis in that statement - although I don’t openly call for it.

If there’s a chance of a cure for the disease I’d rather let that person live so they could become an example of redemption.

The undeniable life long psychological toll of taking another human’s life, regardless of the justification.

            The creating of martyrs.

            Counter violence begetting more violence.

Depriving other humans of a friend, loved one, family member etc generally works as a great recruitment strategy - which is best avoided.

The colloquial use of the word fascist versus its actual definition.

Silencing of opposition doesn’t always have the intended consequences.

            etc etc

P.S. Having said that, if they’re wearing matching armbands and shirts whilst tooled-up and marching towards someone’s house because of how they were born or their lifestyle then, yeah, it’s probably time to load up and take the safety off. Gotta draw a line somewhere…
