I was going to comment on a post today, and found out I’d been banned from mop@quokk.au. Apparently it happened awhile ago.

Not much of a reason, no real evidence given. The mod didn’t include a screenshot, link, or even quoted text, so I’m not sure which specific interaction led to this. Basically this is just thought policing. Hilarious considering that the community claims to be:

free of the “ML” influence of instances like lemmy.ml and lemmygrad.

Also, even if the accusation is true it doesn’t break any community rules:

There is only one mod of mop@quokk.au, so this isn’t just a vague/general example. @lumpenproletariat@quokk.au is a PTB.

      More than YDI, you pretty much were asking for a ban

      A general rule of places like this is if you don’t agree with a community, don’t participate in it. Block it before they ban you, or take the ban as welcome as it removes the thing you don’t like from your feed
