You should read up on Steve Mann. He’s been wearing essentially a homebrew/personalized version since the late 90s and has been trying to warn us of this future since then.
Some of his favourite uses were real life ad-block, meta-vision(seeing where cameras are looking) and other forms of what he calls “souvelliance”.

What if FOSS, only normalised if you’re part of a minority and they’re only kept on outside of community spaces
What if I get a service dog and the dog wears them instead

I vote for putting REGULAR glasses on the dog though. He can do that all day.
Maybe if done to gather specific information at a specific time, but not as something you keep running outside of that.
