      Android compatibility layer is called App Support and is a licensed version of AlienDalvik. It’s only available on officially supported phones (Jolla’s own and some Sony Experia).

        They also license it to car manufacturers, which is probably why that bit is not open-source. It’s a big source of income for them.

          The automotive OS is a different product called Seafarix marketed through a separate partnership.
