Legion Go owners are reporting black screens and bricked devices after installing the N3CN42WW BIOS update. Have you run into issues with your handheld, or did your update go smoothly?

      The OS will stage it, and the update will actually happen on reboot.

      If you’re using a Linux system, you probably have fwupd installed, which can pull down BIOS updates for various attached devices, including motherboard BIOSes. I’m sure that Windows has some analog.

        OK but was programming interface of BIOS always connected to the system? I thought you needed a programmer to flash it.

          Even in DOS days you could flash it from the running system. It was so common that for a while flashing a vendor’s BIOS update entailed booting from a DOS bootdisk.
