Respectfully, both parties here have a stick up their ass. Nobody cares about correct Lemmy terminology, it’s a clone of reddit, of course people use the same terms on here as well.

I guess the fact that was from 4chan should have been enough warning for me to assume it had a homophobic slur in it, but for anyone else not expecting it, it does.
Using the term “subreddit” is indeed confusing as i thought they rant about reddit, not lemmy.
Yea I wouldn’t think twice if someone said “sub” or “sublemmy”, but “subreddit” would be confusing anywhere that isn’t reddit
Lemmy is not a clone of reddit, we do have our own lingo here.
