I started a local group and wanted to get more people involved. After months of trying to do that without FB and failing, I gave up, signed up for FB. I made a couple of posts, seemed OK. Three days in, they did this to me - asked for a pic of my ID. I uploaded an AI gen pic of Galileo instead. They banned me.

Facebook asked for me ID and I sent them a stock image of a random dude flipping the bird and it got accepted
yeah I figured thats how they would implement those checks. real in EU maybe but dragging their feet in US as much as possible.
