Wow, that happened fast. I remember reading maybe three months ago about the activist who had to sneak down into the killing pit to plant the hidden cameras, and how the CO2 levels down there prevented her from planting all of them.

This makes me happy. Not the pigs, but the murder house being flattened. RIP to the pigs who were murdered. I hope they’re at peace now :(

If you haven’t tried them in a while, the plant based meats on the market are now astonishingly good. My family genuinely can’t tell the difference between impossible meat and the real thing, and personally I prefer the taste of impossible meat to animal meat, coming from a previously life-long meat eater.

Highly recommend giving it a try, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised, and it makes giving up red meat especially easy.

There’s also really good imitation steak made of mushroom, I adore the Meati brand ones.

FWIW, a lot of vegans didn’t become vegan because they don’t like the taste of animal flesh. I know i didn’t.

Fuck off out of here. You animal abusers complain vegans are pushy and push their opinions on people, so when we create our own little community, you invade us

        They were tortured to death.

It shows pigs being herded into metal gondolas in groups of five or six. They are then lowered into a chamber and subjected to a high concentration of carbon dioxide gas. Pigs are seen shrieking, gasping, and writhing in apparent pain and distress.

CO2 gas stuns pigs before slaughter. Around 88 percent of pigs in the UK are killed with this method, which is widely believed to be inhumane and cruel. The gas is highly aversive, and forms an acid on wet surfaces it touches, including eyes, lungs, and throats. It supposedly takes around 60 seconds to render them unconscious, but Carbstrong’s footage showed a pig kicking after more than three minutes.

Yup. When they’re lowered down into the pit in the cages, it’s torture. Some pigs have ripped their legs off from thrashing so much from the stress/pain of being gassed.
