Well, if you don’t want AI, position yourself in the appropriate circles. If jobseekers think you’re cheating then by using a robot, why shouldn’t they use a robot to make things easier?
Part of the problem is that the interviewing process is hard to figure out for the hiring manager. You’ve got inflated resumes, a bunch of spam, and generally a condition where there isn’t a qualified candidate so you have to gamble on a pick anyway.
Then again, I usually prefer an in-person review because I haven’t figured out the best way to get them to draw something over video.
Would tap out if they didn’t look at my github acnt. Demonstrate some familiarity with what have publicly published.
If i ask, what is logging-strict? Just a vague overview. and they replied, Duh what?. The interview is over; they failed to research the candidate.
If there is really no interest in building relationships or researching a candidate then really why bother with them? Or anyone for that matter!
I’m already on the fence once they ask for a resume. Which i believe contains too much privacy information. Isn’t that what a github acnt is for?
Sending a resume to a complete and utter stranger, who is likely mentally retarded, and possibly not even human? Want a confirmation of capacity for intelligent thought, or minimally, ability to chat.
Wake me up when these monkeys value published authors like rock stars. And if not, will keep my non-public IP to myself including who has been supplying me with money. And the public IP will just continue to hide in plain sight.
If can do both for an entire life time, whatever the game that is being played, i claim victory.
Who needs patents when society ignores those with IP? While monkeys Ctrl+P to infinity while gaslighting us.
btw whatever the salary is, what is that in 1kg gold bars?
btw the article is written by Brits. Are they even considered Western anymore? Post invasion, are they even a country? When they need workers don’t they call an Indian slaver and have them shipped over on a barge?
It is a back of a sheet of paper. It isn’t unpaid labor; it is having them explain something that they did while drawing a sketch and talking through it.
I’ve never used AI directly, but I’ve relied on HR and recruiting firms to do the initial filtration of resumes. Even with their filtration, I would only get a few that were even in the ballpark of what I needed for the position.
And it is frustrating getting to an interview where candidates can’t talk about what is on their resume. You wrote down that you did X, so you should be able to talk about doing X.
You end up kissing a lot of frogs and, even then, a lot of hitting decisions are still big risks and the candidates are almost never perfect fits.

If any interview asked me to draw or any significant unpaid labor, I’d tap out, frankly.
Wow! You’d get much further than me.

There are a lot of people who have obviously never been hiring managers opining.
Yeah.
