    Lemmy by design will be niche. Basic stuff like your votes being public will prevent a huge amount of popularity.

      As someone who’s out here talking trash all day… People actually care about their votes being seen? Fearful society.

        i had like half a million total internet points on reddit before i caught a ban, the fact that it doesn’t get tracked here is great.

      I agree with the first half of your statement but I’m not sure many people care or even know about the votes being public – especially since it requires using the API or a third party tool to access
