I get this is a shitposting sub, but just want to say to anyone thinking this way seriously, other people have lives too. They are absolutely likely to be doing other things and don’t have time or brain space to reply. If you can’t realize that you are being too self-centered in this case, it’s time to clue in.

That’s not really what this post was about at all. It was self deprecating and not about the person taking forever to reply
Ehh. It’s hard for me to relate to low executive function, but you’re not wrong.
I think the key metric isn’t time to reply. The stakes matter- replying quickly to a meme is less important than, like, making plans. If someone isn’t responsive about if they want to go, then I probably don’t get a ticket for them, and they can’t come to the show with us. Sorry. You were busy.
And the quality is also important. I’ve got friends that will reply like a day or two later, but then we usually have a whole conversation.
If someone is replying every few days with “lol” tier responses, it’s going to feel like a waste of my time.
