amdgpu is crashing again on Linux 7.2.0.
It wasn’t happening on rc7 and it failed twice so far today with page fault (src_id:0 ring:24 vmid:7 pasid:n) on two different processes when I was doing nothing special. If it’s a bad release for amd it won’t be the first time. Or it could be my gpu dying. Either way it’s pretty annoying.
How would one report such a bug anyways? Fire off a mail to the LKML?
If you have a patch to fix it the lkml or whichever related list is devoted to amdgpu would probably like to hear from you, otherwise I’m not sure — possibly the freedesktop issues page would be appropriate.
I’m still not yet sure if people other than me are affected, but I guess so? If it’s still there in a couple of weeks maybe I’ll find the strength to do some more testing.
